LKN Tennis Foundation is proud to be part of the USTA National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) network that offers free or low-cost tennis and education programming to underserved youth in the Lake Norman area. LKN Tennis Foundation will partner with other local community organizations to provide a tennis development program where youths learn civility, civic engagement, good sportsmanship, and positive lifestyles and behavior. The foundation will partner with nonprofit organizations, schools, local governments and parks and recreation departments, health care providers, tennis providers and facilities, and community volunteers to support after-school tutoring, and provide life-skills training.
Tennis, when paired with after-school tutoring and life-skills curricula, directly and positively impacts underserved youth, who achieve better academic results, are more likely to attend college, are better behaved, engage in positive activities, and volunteer in their communities.
